AGM 2008 – Amended Club Rules & Articles of Association
Due to the board not being happy with the documents that were about to be presented at the AGM it was decided that we remove the resolution to pass the amended Rules/Articles from the AGM agenda.
Delegates Day at Gaydon 19/4/08
We briefly discussed another successful Delegates Day, with feedback from the meeting already starting to flow from the club office.
My own personal subject, the lists of official dealers/specialists that are to appear on the regional web pages has been delayed due to the problem we have had with our IT suppliers and our consequent move to a new IT company. Once these issues have been resolved ad we are back up to speed we will post the lists on the NW web page and alert you all to the fact before the rest of the membership sees the pages.
National Festival 10/8/08
We can now confirm that we have secured an appearance from BTCC star Matt Jackson who will be along to give demonstration drives in Andy Priaulx’s WTCC car and sign autographs.
We will also have a tuner display on the mezzanine floor, with cars from Hartge, Alpina, Schnitzer, G Power and Wiesmann. Most of these companies will also be offering rides on the Aston Martin test track in their cars. We will also have a Sea King Helicopter display and troop rope descent, and for the ladies, an on site beautician offering a range of treatments.
BMW UK are arranging for a promoter unit to be displayed, and it is hoped that show sponsor, Nick Whale BMW will also have some demonstrator cars available to test drive.
New Board member
David Marsh, our new Company Secretary, was co-opted onto the board at this meeting. As there wasn’t sufficient notice to formally elect him at the AGM, his position will be ratified at the 2009 AGM.
